Baby Carrier Backpacks For the Active Parent

Everyone knows that it is not at all sensible for a parent to leave a baby or toddler unattended while he or she is busy doing other work. This is why most parents today are going in for a baby carrier which allows them to take their baby with them to anyplace they go. A baby carrier will make things more convenient and will allow you to perform your daily duties without any trouble. But because of the increase in demand for these carriers, manufacturers are coming up with a number of different designs, making it more challenging to pick one.
While choosing a baby carrier, it is best to have a look at the features that come along with the different types of carriers in order to get the most appropriate one. If you are an active parent looking to get a carrier, it is better to consider buying a carrier which will have your baby secured on your back rather than having it in front, since this will enable both your hands to remain free. The baby carrier backpack is the best option if you plan to carry out a lot of tasks during the day.
You may feel that a baby carrier backpack will put a lot of load on your back and cause back pain if worn for too long, but this does not always have to be the case. You can now find models that include multiple straps, which are distributed evenly in order to reduce the strain on the back. By getting a carrier that includes this feature you will have no back problems whatsoever, even when the baby grows. In fact, it is advisable that you only go in for this considering that your baby will grow very fast and will weigh a lot more as the days go by. You may not feel any load right now, but as the baby grows you will notice the increase in weight and will find it a lot harder to carry your growing baby around if you go in for a regular carrier.
Another thing you must consider is choosing a baby carrier backpack with adjustable straps. A carrier with adjustable straps will allow you to adjust the height of the seat. This will allow you to adjust the height of the seat to accommodate your baby as he or she grows. You will not have to worry about spending on a bigger sized carrier when your child grows.
You can find carriers that come in many different styles and colors. You may have seen people carrying their baby in a sporty looking carrier. These carriers are used by families who like to go trekking or camping. If your family goes camping or trekking a lot, then you should get a carrier which will protect your baby from the sun, rain and other weather conditions. Mei Tai Information - Know Before You Buy

Pronounced as "may tie", the Mei Tai is a style of baby carrier that is very popular today. The reason is because it is very comfortable for both you and your child. The Mei Tai is either a square or rectangular piece of fabric that is folded in a specific way to help you carry your baby.
This particular style of carrier actually dates back to Asia where in the very ancient days mothers carried their babies by using simple fabrics that were tied to their bodies. This allowed the mother to go about her daily chores and attend to her baby at the same time.
This is a very traditional way of carrying your baby and more mothers are beginning to use this style. They have found that it is very comfortable and versatile because your baby can be worn in the front or the back. It can also be used from newborn to toddler and older if you need to do so.
Many mothers are switching to the Mei Tai baby carrier because of the comfort level they feel. As an example, many have found that they had to abandon their old slings after the first few months because they became very uncomfortable as their newborns grew older.
Mothers also like this Asian baby carrier because it is fashionable and comes in a variety of colors. Other unique features include two padded shoulder straps and waist straps and it has a square body. This give you unlimited ways to position your child and it is a one size fits all carrier; which means it doesn't have to be fitted to your baby.
The way the baby is positioned and the way the baby is tied to your body is all determined by the way the straps are tied to your body. You can also wear it in any season because it can accommodate light clothing or over a coat.
The Mei Tai carrier is very simple to use and there are many great pictures to show you exactly how to wrap it. Moms say it only takes a little practice and you can create any style you want with it.
This Asian baby carrier is becoming very popular in the West because it is very easy for dads or other family members to use so that the baby bonds with everyone in the family. To summarize, here are basic reasons why this baby Mei Tai carrier is becoming so popular:
You have a variety of carrying positions that include the front, back or your hip. You can change things around to get what is most comfortable for you. You can carry your child from birth until they are toddlers or older.
You can bond with your baby and keep doing other things. This means you and your baby will bond quickly and easily.
There are no snaps, buckles or clips to hamper your baby's movement or to get caught on something as you go about daily tasks. The Mei Tai carrier is the perfect fit for any mom who wants to be comfortable all the time.

Baby Carriers - Backpacks For Greater Comfort and Safety

Little babies do not have to miss out on all the outdoor fun. It might be wise to keep them safe at home when the weather is so extreme since their immune systems are not yet fully develop to provide complete protection from the harmful elements in the outside world. On better days, however, they can go shopping and enjoy the sights along with their parents on board baby carriers backpacks.
It is not wise to keep these little ones within the confines of the house at all times. After all, they have to enjoy some fresh air and a little bit of the sun just like adults do. They need to have a chance to practice their senses and expose them to different stimuli that are not available indoors.
When choosing a baby carrier, it helps to consider the following important elements.
1. Safety - Every parent's major concern about their little ones is their safety and wellbeing. This is something parents should provide for the kids considering their inability to provide for it by themselves.
2. Durability - Since the carrier is going to end up with all of the baby's weight, it should be made of durable material and in such a way that it can handle the little one's weight despite all the possible movements while strolling around.
3. Comfort - When using baby carriers backpacks, both the parent and the child should be comfortable. This is possible only if the backpacks being used are of the right material and size to completely accommodate the kid and any movements all throughout the trip.
4. Fit - Another important factor to consider is the fit of the said carrier. When kids feel uncomfortable, they cry. This is a natural occurrence, and no one wants a crying kid around. They can even throw tantrums if their concerns are not addressed right away. A carrier that is too large can easily put the kid's safety in question. This should not be a problem since carriers are available in various sizes and shapes to suit whatever size a kid is.
5. Sturdy - Kids move around a lot. This is another fact that has to be thoroughly considered. Kids who are limited in what they wish to do and how they wish to move end up as frustrated as they can be. Tantrums are hard to deal with when out in the public, so it pays to make sure that the carrier is sturdy enough to support the kid's movement all the time.
6. Weight - Too much weight can cause back and neck pains. This can result from carriers that are too heavy, which should not really be a problem since much developments in baby carriers have come up with lightweight options available for every parent in town.
There are actually various types of baby carriers backpacks available in the market today. They come in different variations in terms of colors, sizes and designs, giving parents a chance to choose the best one that suits their needs and preferences.
Baby Carriers Backpacks take the strain of outdoor excursions with your baby away and let their unadulterated joy remain.

Beco Carriers - Well Made In The USA

Beco carriers have been around since 2005 and was founded by Gabby Cameron, a mum who decided she wanted to make her own baby carrier as she apparently saw flaws in what was available at the time. Beco specialise in baby carriers, and little carriers for children to carry their baby doll, called the Beco Mini. There are two base models in the Beco carriers range, Beco Butterfly 2 and Beco Gemini . We have reviewed these two Beco carriers and provided you with an honest and unbiased view of what we think of them. Each carrier has both pros and cons and has been given a score out of 5.
Beco carriers are known for their 'one-size fits all' philosophy and are all made in the US. With the baby in mind, Beco carriers are usually made out of organic cotton and they come with an instructional DVD made in the US, to make it easier for parents to fit it properly.
Beco Butterfly 2
This baby carrier has a lot of good things going for it. We like the fact that it comes with an infant insert for newborns and a solid head support for the baby, both which are removable. It comes in many different colours and designs and can be worn both on the front and on the back. The Beco Butterfly 2 has soft padded shoulder straps and safety buckles to prevent accidental opening. Beco carriers in general are easily adjusted to accommodate for a growing baby and a padded waist belt which provides lumbar support for the parent. The Beco Butterfly 2 is meant to carry babies between 7-45 lbs (3.5 - 20 kg).
What we don't like about the Beco Butterfly is that is does not have any pockets for storage. When you are on-the-go with your baby, it is always nice to have easily accessible pockets where you can store keys and your wallet. Unfortunately, the Beco Butterfly 2 does not have these. At $139 it is definitely in the high range as far as baby carriers go. However, it is value for money considering you are getting organic cotton, which is considerably more expensive than normal cotton. Also, keep in mind that it has been made in the US, where labour is much more expensive than in China, but the products are usually of a higher quality. So, if you are happy to spend the money and bring your handbag with you, the Beco Butterfly 2 is definitely worth considering. Score 4/5.
Beco Gemini
As stated earlier, Beco carriers are typically made out of organic cotton and the same goes for the Beco Gemini. The Beco Gemini has the same foldable head rest and adjustable base as the Beco Butterfly 2. It is a 4 in 1 carrier, meaning that it can be worn 4 different ways. Front carry (facing in or out), back carry and hip carry. The Beco Gemini is recommended between 7-35 lbs (3.5-16kg). Apart from that it has all the same features as the Beco Butterfly and cost about $10 less. We are dumbfounded as to why a company such as Beco would have to such similar models for sale. Why not try something a bit different? Anyway, if you have to choose between the two, we would go for the Beco Gemini, simply for the fact that it is more versatile with its 4-in-1 design and cost $10 less. Score 4/5.
All in all, Beco carriers are well-made products that are easy to put on and will last you a long time. We have no problems recommending these carriers to our parents.

The Beco Butterfly II Baby Carrier - For Newborns

You must have encountered several situations when carrying your baby outside was very straining. Perhaps when you were out shopping or when you wanted to reach something outside in your pockets, you wished you had somebody who could share the weight of your baby just for a little while.
However, if you have the Beco Butterfly II Baby Carrier, you've got nothing to worry about as this carrier is cut apart from the rest, thanks to its good looks, its efficiency, and how easily it fits any parent without straining the baby or the parent. The price of this carrier is also cheaper compared to other carriers.
One thing that needs to be checked before you buy a carrier is its skin friendliness. Before you consider buying a carrier, you need to make sure that, the material does not have any potential to harm the skin of the baby. Several parents spend a lot and find that the baby transporters have cause allergic reactions. A carrier like Beco Butterfly II Baby Carrier is absolutely safe as it is made of skin friendly material.
Baby comfort and accommodation are given primary importance by manufacturers of this carrier. When you buy Beco Butterfly II Baby Carrier, you can be sure that your baby will be secure. For little babies, there is a small baby insert, into which small babies which are new born can be kept in an ergonomic position. Bigger babies can be kept in the main compartment.
The safety consideration comes next. The Beco carrier is safe as it works differently. The small baby insert for smaller babies is designed considering that bigger spaces are less safe for smaller babies. For bigger babies on the other hand, the bigger compartment is safer. Th harnesses are strong and will not give away under any circumstance.
Parent strain is the next to consider. A carrier that strains the parent is not a good one. A good carrier will have secure hip straps, shoulder straps will be provided more padding in order to make sure that you are comfortable; there will also be support for back and chest. All of this is taken care of by the Beco Butterfly II Baby Carrier.
This baby transporter has different features that make it better than the rest and it also sells for a reasonable price. You can take your baby out without having to strain yourself and without worrying about caring for your baby.

Baby Wearing and Organic Baby Carriers

Beco baby carrier
Baby Wearing is a method of carrying or 'wearing' your baby in a piece of fabric that can be wrapped around your baby and yourself, slung across a shoulder in a fabric Sling or Rebozo, secured in a traditional Asian style carrier such as a Mei Tai, worn on your body in a Backpack or Framed style carrier, or held in one of the most popular style of carriers today - a Soft-Structured carrier such as an Ergo or Beco baby carrier. Holding, carrying and wearing your baby is not a new invention or trend. Long before the use of baby carriages, prams, strollers or push chairs became the norm, women have worn their babies to keep them warm, facilitate nursing, help regulate breathing and heart beat patterns, keep babies safe from predators and danger, and to allow mothers to go about their daily activities or work, all while keeping their precious baby close at hand.
Recent studies suggest that babies who are carried not only cry less, but also learn more than non-carried babies as they spend less time crying to communicate their needs, and more time observing what their mothers and other people in their community are doing. If you wear your baby on your front, side, hip or back, your baby is essentially at the same level as you are, and is able to observe everything you do from the same vantage point. A good baby carrier not only frees up your hands to shop, cook, clean, talk on the phone or attend to a toddler or sibling, but a Sling, Wrap, or Carrier worn correctly will support your baby without causing any discomfort to the parent, caretaker or person wearing your baby. Wearing your baby in a Sling or Carrier also promotes communication between your baby and yourself. Parents of worn babies become very aware of their children's gestures, movements and facial expressions which lead to positive interaction and communication between you and your child.
A sling or baby carrier can even act as a transitional womb during those early months when a baby needs his or her mother nearly 24/7. If your baby suffers from colic or you have a baby that has a difficult time sleeping, or startles easily, a baby carrier may be just what the doctor ordered - or didn't order but should have. For breastfeeding moms, a sling can provide a discreet nursing environment where your baby can nurse without distractions, and then simply fall asleep against your chest. Perhaps the most import item on a new mom or dad's checklist, a wrap, sling or carrier for your baby can be used from birth all the way through the toddler years. You will find it indispensable in airports, restaurants & in busy cities where pushing a stroller becomes nothing but a hassle, and in keeping strangers' curious hands away from your newborn. As parents of a toddler and and infant, our baby carriers are the best baby 'gear' investment we have made to date, and we do not own a single stroller. To top it all off, wearing your baby in a carrier on your body is great weight-bearing exercise and can help mom AND dad lose the extra baby weight.
