Babybjorn Comfort Baby Carrier Review - Free Movement For You and Your Baby

Babybjorn (or Baby Bjorn as it is more commonly referred to) seems to be the latest celebrity endorsed accessory for the parent and baby. In this review we take a look at the Babybjorn Comfort Carrier.

Whilst we are existing owners of the Babybjorn Ergo baby carrier, our child doesn't seem totally happy in the rearward facing position so a new carrier was called for. Having liked the Babybjorn range we looked at the Classic, Air, Active and Synergy models but found most of them uncomfortable to wear, mainly because of the lack of a waist belt. We chose the comfort as it seemed to answer all of our problems, although it was a little larger than the others.

Babybjorn Comfort Baby Carrier Review

Thanks to the wide and generously padded straps and padded waist band the Baby Bjorn Comfort is without doubt the most comfortable carrier we tried. So far we have used it on numerous walking expeditions, each lasting a good few hours and are pleased to report absolutely no back or shoulder aches or pains, plus unlike the Ergo carrier our baby can face both forward or backwards.

The convenience and freedom to move around naturally is perhaps the main reason for someone to buy such a carrier and the comfort scores highly in this regard. It means that having a child doesn't mean having to miss out on shopping trips, days out and family events. This becomes even more of an advantage if your baby doesn't like to be put down. It means you can get on with housework or tidy up the garden whilst keeping your baby happy. The carrier is also really easy to interchange between people, all it takes is a few tugs of the adjustable straps and you're ready to go.

The carrier is really well built and you can see what your money buys you. You get the impression that it will last a very long time. All the connections and fasteners are really solid and well fitting. It feels as though it will last so long that you could easily use it for a few babies, saving your quite a lot of money in the long run.

Babybjorn Comfort Carrier Problems

Although the Baby Bjorn baby carrier is free of any major issues, there are a few minor complaints. The first is that is can seem bulky at times (mostly due to its construction), especially when trying to stow it away in a tight space such as beneath a stroller or in a partially full trunk.

The second issue is that you only get one bib included and are unable to purchase additional ones (although I'd expect this to change in the future). Other than that, the Baby Bjorn Carrier is a great buy.

One thing to note is that I've read reviews saying that the comfort carrier can become uncomfortable once the child gets heavier, around 15 lbs or so, but as we've got a way to go before we reach this stage we won't know yet. The unit is adjustable to a certain extent but a child will obviously grow out of it eventually.

We hope you have enjoyed our comfort carrier review. For a Free Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier please visit our website and follow the link. Whilst you are there, please check out our many other free gifts. Thanks for reading.
